Apologies for any confusion. The once-ubiquitous space simulator genre starting to see a modern-day resurgence. While the PC gaming space used to be rife with outer space adventure titles like Freelancer and Tie Fighter, the games fell out of favor in the late 90’s, when games like Diablo and Doom offered quick bursts of action without a space simulators’ steep learning curve....

Despite being one of the most visually impressive games on the Xbox One, or any platform for that matter, Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport 5 was largely seen as a disappointment. Gamers maligned the title’s use of microtransactions to fuel unlockables, and the Drivatar system, while a clever concept, led to a fair share of headaches. But, Forza 5 was also a great learning lesson for Turn 10 and for the franchise, and the hope is that the Forza Horizon 2 will be able to learn from those mistakes....

While there’s a significant amount of the gaming population who are excited to either revisit or be given their first introduction to the Halo universe through Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, most are more excited to see 343 Industries’ sophomore effort Halo 4. Details regarding the title so far are extremely slim, aside from the E3 trailer and some hints dropped about Master Chief, but something really interesting has appeared online that connects Anniversary and Halo 4....

Expectations are riding high for Rainbow Six Siege, which represents Ubisoft’s next entry into their long running tactical shooter series. After the release of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 back in 2008, the series has gone through a long transitional period filled with delays and false starts. With the ill-fated Rainbow 6: Patriots suffering multiple delays before officially being canceled back in 2014, the franchise is looking to restore its past glory with Siege....

With the season changing to fall, the big game releases are just around the corner. Gears of War 3 will be out next week, Batman: Arkham City will arrive in October, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will follow in November. We can now add Sonic Generations to that list of big fall video game launches, as the official release date has been revealed. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Sonic Generations will be available on November 1st....
