It’s official, Half-Life: Alyx is now the highest-rated VR-exclusive video game of all time. It has all the brandings and signatures of Valve in it, such as innovative usages of new tech. Half-Life: Alyx is quite revolutionary as VR games go, although it’s not exactly on the same level of video game innovation as Half-Life or Half-Life 2. Nevertheless, you can safely rest easy that it’s worth the money you spent on the VR gear....

Much of the credit for that can go to developer Ubisoft Annecy, who was tasked with building the mode while heavyweight Ubisoft Montreal guided the main AC narrative....
There is no doubt in our mind that Assassin’s Creed 3, which features both a new time period and a completely new protagonist, is going to be a strong candidate for Game of the Year when the time comes, but developer Ubisoft apparently wants to hedge their bets and start investing in the franchise early. Awesomenauts has managed to draw a crowd for its unique take on the MOBA genre by giving players a two-dimensional view of the landscape, as opposed to the typical perspective of other MOBAs, such as League of Legends or the more recent Smite....

While Mortal Kombat 9 did well to rejuvenate the franchise and prove that NetherRealm Studios’ fighter still has a ravenous fan base, Mortal Kombat X appears to be a leap forward.
