Some incredible PS1 games are available for purchase on the PS3 and PS Vita. Most of the classics are there, from epic RPGs like Chrono Cross to legendary linear adventures like Metal Gear Solid. While we appreciate the access to all of these, it is not a complete collection. Several notable games are missing. The ten games below would benefit from being digitally available. Usually, legal issues prevent these games from receiving an official re-release....

Nier Replicant ver.1.2247448739 (let’s just say 1.22) was just released earlier this week, and finally, people have been giving this cult classic title the attention it deserves. Not quite a remaster, and not quite a remake, it only makes sense that the version number is the square root of 1.5 because Nier Replicant is right in the middle. Square’s Final Fantasy X released in 2001 for PlayStation 2 and was a critical and commercial success. The game was originally presented during the 2000 Square Millennium Event alongside Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy XI. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a smaller-scale follow up to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, created by Insomniac Games. This game follows the early days of Miles Morales’ superhero career as he takes over protecting New York City while Peter Parker is away. One of the many things that make this game incredible is it makes Miles Morales’ unique without neglecting his Spider-Man roots. His powers aren’t the same as that of Peter Parker’s but he also feels very familiar if you’ve played the previous Spider-Man game....

Much like at E3 2013, Battlefield was front and center as part of Electronic Arts’ E3 2014 presence. But, this time the series arrived with a new spin-off brand called Battlefield Hardline, a new developer in Visceral Games, a new concept, and (what the developers believe) a fresh spin on the game’s tried and true formula. Yet again, the Battlefield section of their massive E3 booth featured a playable 32-player multiplayer match that did its best to encapsulate the chaos of Battlefield Hardline online, only with a more intimate (but also very loud) atmosphere....

The thriving community behind Destiny has shown that Bungie still knows how to turn an online shooter into a phenomenon. They have outdone themselves yet again, as just hours after the game’s expansion, The Dark Below, was released, the first group of players have already completed the newest Raid, Crota’s End. The task was completed by a group of 7 players - known as Invigorate Gaming - in just over 6 hours....

There are only a few days left to go before the release of Arkane Studios’ second piece of DLC for Dishonored - The Knife of Dunwall, a sidequel telling the story of Dunwall’s other infamous assassin, Daud. The first piece of DLC for the game, Dunwall City Trials, was essentially just a challenge mode that didn’t add too much to the game’s story, but The Knife of Dunwall will be the first of a two-part set of plot-driven DLC’s, which will conclude in The Brightmore Witches....

The nature of a timed-exclusive, be it a full game, DLC or otherwise, is meant to boosts sales for one platform while excluding the others. It’s not an uncommon move for publishers or developers to make, though it’s largely unpopular in the eyes of players. Timed-exclusivity is part of the competition, yes, but surely there has to be a better alternative than making other groups of people wait for something in the hopes of one lone group having higher success....

Yes, Bethesda’s next entry into the epic Elder Scrolls series will be getting an update as soon as players put the disc into their console. That means Skyrim will be version 1.1 on 11/11/11. Do you see what Bethesda did there? The collective groan of gamers everywhere can be heard as they express their dismay at the idea of having a day one patch – everyone wants games to be done by the time they release to retail....

We’ve been waiting for it ever since Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn was announced, and it’s finally here. Academic training for the future officers and elite soldiers of the United Nations Space Command is all well and good, but nothing compares to a live-action Spartan soldier. A majority of Thomas Lasky’s character has been established outside the clear enemies and instinctual thinking that the battlefield brings - the values that will prepare him for his task in Halo 4 just as much as fighting alongside the Master Chief....
