Originally not released outside of Japan, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade is home to popular Super Smash Bros. mainstay, Roy, and is often regarded as one of the harder entries in the Fire Emblem franchise. While players have access to numerous diverse characters while playing through The Binding Blade, not all of these units are created equally, with some units ranging from suboptimal to flat out useless. They believe that a recent acquisition adequately protects them when it comes to protecting their Candy Crush brand. King originally filed for the “candy” trademark back in February of 2013, but word of it only arose earlier this year....

Arguably the most exciting bit of news was how much longer racers will need to wait before GT6 hits the shelves. Sony announced that the latest installment in the Gran Turismo franchise, developed by Polyphony Digital, will be available worldwide on December 6....

With the addition of female players to NHL 12’s player creation system, the developers at EA Sports gave women the chance to see their own gender reflected in a game series that is just one of many sports simulations restricting themselves to male athletes....

As a reboot of an iconic gaming franchise, 2013’s Tomb Raider was well-received as players appreciated how good the game’s island setting of Yamatai looked and the way Lara grew from wide-eyed and vulnerable to hardened and brave; the way an origins game should be. But Tomb Raider wasn’t perfect and many fans of the series lamented the lack of tombs that could be raided, as well as boss battles that felt shoe-horned in....

It’s been a bumpy, vacillating road for STALKER 2 and GSC Game World, and in a move likely to jolt longtime fans of the series once more, the skeleton crew of Ukrainian developers now looks primed to chart a new course entirely. Scantily staffed and frugally financed, GSC announced last December that, despite their belabored efforts of bringing the ghostly FPS to fruition, they were closing their doors pending a takeover by the Ukrainian government....

Valve had surprised the world last week by announcing that Steam Big Picture would be coming to televisions around the world ‘soon’. Just a few days after this announcement, they’ve clarified on just how ‘soon’ this was - and hold onto your TF2 hats, because Big Picture will be opening up to Steam-using members of the public September 10th. There’s a long history of canceled games that almost made it into player’s hands. As the years have gone on the wounds have started to heal, but it still stings for many Star Wars fans who lost the highly anticipated Star Wars 1313. As outlined in Jason Schreier’s book, Blood, Sweat, and Pixels, its cancellation was even more painful for the people making it. The game has ties to nearly every aspect of Lucasfilm’s history in the twilight of the company being sold to Disney....

There are tons of great retro games one can play on their Switch right now. Developing video games is difficult work – there’s the understatement of the year. Developing a contemporary, cross-platform, online JRPG with full voice acting in multiple languages? Sounds like a back-breaking challenge, metaphorically speaking. For all of the quirks and bugs that Genshin Impact had at launch, it’s still a small miracle that the game launched without being outright broken. QA teams, beta tests, etc… developers have a lot of tricks up their sleeves to help streamline launches and expansions....

When Microsoft and Sony showcased their Xbox Series X|S and PS5 consoles, there was one game in particular on many gamers wish lists, a new Grand Theft Auto title. The second chapter in The Tale Of Iyo is the most time consuming of the three, and it can also be the most challenging one for certain teams. This level is heavily loaded with platforming elements and sections that require a high degree of coordination, more so than the previous chapter. There are only a few moments where enemies seem as challenging as in Nightmare Survival, so combat should not be an issue for most going into this chapter....
