The Sims is one of the most successful and enjoyable life simulator games on the market. But it is not the only game that can provide players with the ability to create virtual worlds and lives online. Though the Devil May Cry HD Collection isn’t officially slated to release in stores until the 3rd of April it appears that several retailers around the country have begun selling the devil-hunting title right now. While sources won’t divulge exactly why Devil May Cry’s street date has been broken it is believed that Capcom wanted to inspire gamers to get out and purchase the game. It also might be possible that Capcom wanted to escape the digital business model and thought that this would be the perfect way to do so....

Despite stumbling out of the gate when it launched, Diablo 3 has become a mega-smash success. Judging from the number of copies sold in its first week, we at Game Rant can only imagine how many mice have bitten the dust with all that clicking. There were some legitimate criticisms of Diablo 3, such as the lack of customization that players found in Diablo 2, and how weapons for certain classes did not really act like weapons at all but instead like worn equipment....

After working within the Gears of War franchise for 7 years, developer Epic Games is branching out. We already know about their next non-Gears venture, Fortnite, but a new job posting suggests they have an additional title in development. According to the posting, Epic Games is looking to fill a senior systems designer position on an unannounced title. That title is described as a “competitive online action game that includes player progression, heavy itemization, and a dynamic economy....

When Warner Bros. first announced that they would be bringing Middle-earth to consoles in the form of a MOBA (massive online battle arena) title, and would be trusting Monolith to do it, there were some skeptics. Not just because the studio was more well-known for the successful first-person shooter F.E.A.R., and the less-successful Gotham City Impostors. Also, because bringing a MOBA to consoles - even one with as much recognition as Guardians of Middle-earth - seemed like a risky move no matter how you looked at it....

It isn’t as if the developers of Halo 4 need to bring sweeping changes to the existing multiplayer formula to get people playing, but that’s exactly what they’re up to. Paradox Interactive recently announced the next expansion for its galaxian grand strategy game Stellaris. The Necroids Species Pack will be arriving on October 29, and brings with it a new species, the Necroids, the new Necrophage Origin, three new civics, and a horde of other new items. The new Necroids Species Pack is arriving just in time for your scheduled Halloween stream (Hallowstream?), and Paradox has set the pack up with loads of creepy sci-fi spoops that’ll make for a perfect live stream....

It’s not easy to keep major sequels a total secret these days, but it wasn’t until Ubisoft’s extended gameplay reveal of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege that the world knew for sure: one of the most acclaimed tactical shooter franchises was back. The game boasted visuals that would turn even casual gamers’ heads, but was far smaller and more streamlined than had been expected. Now that we’ve had a chance to hear from the developers and play the game for ourselves, the reason for their choices is clear - and resulted in one promising multiplayer shooter....

It seems fitting that Ubisoft’s upcoming next-gen release Watch_Dogs should make headlines as part of some mysterious and nefarious dealings, but fans have had a spectacular blend of mixed messages to start their week. First came word that Ubisoft had motioned to abandon the Watch Dogs trademark, leaving many to speculate on a possible cause. Now, the French publisher claims those motions were fraudulent, and that development remains on track. We have to ask: could DedSec be to blame?...

On November 13, 2007, Ubisoft launched Assassin’s Creed, and this action-adventure, stealth game took place in the 12th century during the Third Crusade. There have been multiple sequels since, most of them centering around a different assassin in another region and time period, and the series has consistently been praised for providing fans with historically accurate experiences. The latest game is called Valhalla, and it focuses on a Viking shieldmaiden named Eivor, who raids England during the 9th century....
