If there’s one thing we hate, it’s seeing a great game get bogged down with technical issues. After a launched somewhat hindered by nagging DLC issues, it looks like Batman: Arkham City has been hit with a brand new wave of troubling afflictions, specifically regarding corrupted save files. The specifics of the problem are still trying to be figured out, but those of you who have yet to finish Arkham City’s campaign may be running the risk of finding your save files missing altogether....
A driveable Batmobile, a bigger open world than Arkham City and an “explosive finale” were all things set to be gifted to us later this year in Batman: Arkham Knight, which Rocksteady Studios was calling the final (of their developed games) in the series. But you can’t just round off a series of brilliant games, including Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, sloppily, can you? Especially not when the Gotham defender himself “faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect....

Developers have to worry about the thousands of potential clipping issues, what exactly to give players control of & what to lock off, or how to fine-tune every single option so that it doesn’t clash with all the other choices. It’s a real tough thing to pull off, and it’s even more impressive when done well....
Delays for anticipated games tend to evoke a mixture of both positive and negative feelings. On one hand, it’s disappointing that a longer wait than expected lies ahead; on the other, more development time has (almost) never been bad for a game. The release of House of Wolves is still a couple months away, but Bungie isn’t waiting until then to give Destiny players new updates and content. The developer recently released the massive 1.1.1 update and announced the upcoming mobile vault update to the Destiny Companion app, both of which should keep Guardians happy on their own until House of Wolves. But it looks like Bungie isn’t done yet. In addition to the major game and app updates, Bungie announced they are bringing a new playlist to the game’s PVP arena, the Crucible....
Capcom is releasing new content for Dragon’s Dogma with an upcoming expansion in 2013. Other than it being released as DLC, Capcom hasn’t said much on the subject besides presenting a trailer at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. It’s speculated to be substantial in size due to the game continually being referred to as an expansion. Fans of the open world RPG will be looking forward to another fantasy frolic with the Arisen – others, not so much....
It turns out fans of the Gears of War franchise won’t have to wait as long as they had thought to find out about the next installment. Ahead of the previously reported Monday reveal, GameInformer has unveiled the covers of their July issue featuring series mainstays Damon Baird and Augustus “Cole Train” Cole. The game in question is Gears of War: Judgment, and the full artwork implies that the two Gears will be taking on enemies both old and new....

Despite some general disappointment with regards to Mass Effect 3’s ending, most BioWare fans have been accepting of the developer’s latest RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition, with little resistance. It’s a good thing too, because the game is apparently pretty good. PlayStation fans may be seeing another classic franchise make a long awaited return to the PlayStation 4 console – if a recent leak is to be believed. The classic PSX action-adventure franchise MediEvil is the target of the rumors this time, but the series has been largely dormant since 2005 following the release of MediEvil: Resurrection for the PSP. That game, however, was a remake, which means that the franchise hasn’t gotten a proper entry in the series since 2000’s MediEvil 2 launched on the PlayStation One console....
Modern Warfare 3 has been available for barely more than a day, but Activision’s powerhouse sequel is wasting no time breaking the records established by Call of Duty: Black Ops. According to Activision, Modern Warfare 3 now holds the record for the most pre-orders and biggest day-one shipments ever. Modern Warfare 3 marks a number of “firsts” for the wildly popular series. As the fist Modern Warfare game developed after Jason West and Vince Zampella left Infinity Ward to form Respawn Entertainment, MW3 has a lot to prove....
In March, players will be able to assume the role of ultra-deadly ninja Ryu Hayabusa in Ninja Gaiden 3. Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei are aiming for a release date in the latter half of the month, perhaps to avoid competing with big name games like Mass Effect 3 or Max Payne 3. Update: Sony denies having to cut PlayStation 5 production. Sony may have had to cut production of the PS5 from 15 million units to 11 million due to production yield issues. The arrival of the next generation of console is almost upon us. Xbox has revealed that the Series X and Series S will hit the market on November 10, 2020. Later this week, it’s expected that Sony will reveal when exactly the PS5 will join it....

No matter where you look, there will always be a title involving zombies, usually in the direct-to-DVD section or as an unannounced title for multiple systems. It’s almost difficult to believe that the Assassin’s Creed series has been around for thirteen years.
