It had been suspected that as part of Microsoft’s showing for the Xbox One at Gamescom 2013, a brand new Fable adventure would be announced. time has brought exactly that, with Lionhead unveiling the announcement trailer for Fable Legends, a four-player, cooperative RPG that gives players even more control over the morality of their characters than ever before. Teasing the likes of the Swordsman, Magician, Barbarian and Archer, the first trailer for Fable Legends promises to let players return to Albion with the help of their friends, or even become the villain themselves....

NFL fans got their first look at Madden 21 during today’s Xbox 20/20, with Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback and Superbowl LIV MVP, Patrick Mahomes, “crashing” the stream to showcase the annual title’s latest entry, specifically speaking to the Xbox Series X. One of the most under-appreciated games of last year was Just Cause 2, the incredibly vast sandbox action game by Avalanche Studios. Sadly, it looks like the highly accomplished Rare studio is the next to announce a ‘development process change,’ which will result in the laying off of several employees, including senior staff. The studio is cooling down after the release of Kinect Sports Rivals, and it looks like their next game will be better accomplished with a more finite team at Rare....

Chalk up another award for the dream team that is Mojang! In only 24 hours since its release on Xbox Live Arcade, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has already broken digital sales records. It would appear that lightning has struck twice for the superstar indie developer and their flagship IP - but some players have been left feeling the burn. After the swift success of Minecraft on the PC, it was logically assumed that ports of the charmingly simplistic sandbox game would appear on consoles....

It began its life as True Crime: Hong Kong, before being found lacking, and sold to Square Enix to become Sleeping Dogs. That may not have been the smoothest start, and certainly heaped some skepticism on the game’s release, but the Hong Kong-based, open world sleeper persevered, becoming one of the better games of 2012. Nevertheless, the future of the series remained uncertain - until now. Developer United Front Games has confirmed that they are hard at work on Triad Wars, a sequel set within the Sleeping Dogs universe....

Viewers were left with plenty of unanswered questions after Sony’s PlayStation Meeting on February 20th, and perhaps nothing prompted more question marks than the gameplay trailer for The Witness (above) by award-winning Braid developer Jonathan Blow. The Witness will be the first game from Blow’s Thekla, Inc. development studio. The trailer opens up to a warm autumn setting with an unusual scene: a record player sitting in a tree stump, which magically starts playing by itself....
