Some of them are not immediately obvious but are worth seeking out because they contain some of the best treasures in the game. Gold bolts, Craiggerbears, and cool armor upgrades are among the cool things you can find stashed away on each planet. Importantly, collecting many of these hidden treasures is required for obtaining the Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart platinum trophy, which is one of the best achievements in the game....

10 Deadly Towers This warrior is the epitome of fantasy awesomeness and adolescent projection: super buff muscles, shiny armor and weapons, confident knee-up stance revealing the mysteries beneath the lion-cloth. Aside from the well drawn figure, the watercolor hues surrounding the titular Deadly Towers do a great job of creating a dark, ominous vision of what’s ahead for our hero. The in-game character…looks like a child trick-or-treating as a rhinoceros. The backgrounds feature bland, clashing colors with little texture or definition....

Watch Dogs: Legion is a picture-perfect example of a video game meant to entertain. It’s set in an open-world city that is begging for players to mess around with it like a kid in a sandbox. The game opens up almost right away, so there isn’t much barring people from jumping right into the good stuff, i.e. wreaking havoc on the citizens of London through technological mayhem. It can be fun, but also because it’s a video game, there are some things that don’t make sense from both a realistic standpoint as well as from the standpoint of the presented lore....

Considering how historically difficult the “NES Hard” era of gaming was, developers at the time didn’t have to put a ton of time or effort into their endings; very few players would actually see them. It’s been nearly two years since we heard anything official about possible sequels to Crytek’s popular first person shooter franchise (and eye-popping CryEngine showpiece), Crysis. Back in May 2010, EA went on-record - asserting that the publisher was definitely interested in Crysis 3 (as well as presumably 4, 5, and beyond). The release of Far Cry 4 may still be months away, but the developers at Ubisoft have been giving prospective players a variety of reasons to take note. First was the delightfully diabolical villain, then came the elephant-filled lunacy of its E3 demo, followed soon after by details on how closely the game would be drawing upon the people and culture of real-world Nepal. About a month after taking Flappy Bird down from all mobile app stores, creator Dong Nguyen teased the hugely popular game might return. Now, some six months later Flappy Bird is back and he/she has brought a few friends along. While Nguyen did share a few quotes about Flappy Bird’s return, he did not say why the game is only available on the Fire TV’s Android app store. Moreover, the developer did not reveal when, or even if, the game might become available on the Apple Store or Google Play....

After years of worrying that the Metal Gear franchise may be stuck in development limbo for eternity, fans of the iconic stealth-action series have been overwhelmed with good news over the past few months. Earlier this week, Volition teased fans with the promise of details on a new game at PAX Prime this weekend. The most logical prediction was a follow-up to last year’s hilarious and bizarre Saints Row IV and fans of the open-world action adventure game have already started getting excited about what weirdness could arrive in the currently unconfirmed Saints Row V. The Volition Project Reveal panel took place at PAX this morning and although the fifth numbered installment in the Saints Row franchise wasn’t the reveal, it looks like fans of the series still have plenty to be excited about....

The gaming industry for the most part tends to take itself very seriously. As games begin drawing upon Hollywood-style production values, it has become less common for developers to release games that might be considered risky. Shadows Of The Damned is one of those games. Not only does it have a dirty mouth and a penchant for excessive amounts of gore, but it’s just plain odd. Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture as a collaboration between gaming legends Goichi Suda (No More Heroes) and Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Devil May Cry), Shadows Of The Damned is a “psychological action thriller” which follows Garcia Hotspur as he travels to hell in order to save his girlfriend who has been kidnapped by demons....

In preparation for their big pre-E3 episode tonight, GameTrailers TV has just blown the lid off several titles that were originally supposed to be revealed during the show. While many of the trailers featured during the episode, like the Tomb Raider ‘Crossroads’ trailer and a closer look at Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ Dishonored, were already known the big reveals come in the form of Star Wars 1313 and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2....
