Whether they want to admit it or not, every gamer - no matter how hardcore or how casual - has had some sort of run-in with the Sims series. There’s something so addictive about a game that acknowledges your every click bears seriouw consequences for the digital lives of your family and friends. Every few years though, it’s necessary to to build an even more realistic world and The Sims 4 is poised to take that next step with their upcoming presence at E3 2014.
With all the movers and shakers of the industry coming together to show off the latest in gaming, it’s no surprise that PC veterans Maxis will be making an appearance at the massive trade show. Despite the issues that plagued last year’s release of SimCity (check out our review), the company seems to be taking strides to draw audiences back in with The Sims 4.
According to a tweet from The Sims 4 Executive Producer Rachel Franklin, gamers will have the next iteration of the iconic god game to look forward to at this year’s E3. The Sims 4 is not content to just be a minor showing though, as Franklin states, in another tweet, that there will be “so much to show” of the game. Aside from a set of screenshots and the news that the title will not require an online connection, there is still much to learn about The Sims 4 so some sort of significant reveal is to be expected.
The Sims 4 is planning for a release sometime in 2014.
