Update: A Nookazon spokesperson has responded to this article, saying,
In addition, they wanted to clarify that the phrases “ACAB” and “BLM” were “not specifically targeted, censored or banned” in their Discord channels.
“It was never our intention to remain complicit or silence views during this political climate. Our team was unprepared for a response to current events of this magnitude, which led to excessive moderation. We apologize for any deleted comments and the removal of meaningful discourse, genuine warnings, and signs of solidarity with the BLM movement. And we acknowledge the importance of creating a safe space to have these conversations and educate each other on current events.”

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will need a Milkshake Duck villager now, in honor of popular service Nookazon.
As per Twitter user daisycorpse, Nookazon has banned all usage of the phrases “ACAB” and “1312” - both of which spell out “All Cops Are Bastards.” The phrase has seen heavy use in recent years, and especially this week, following the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor by state police.
As protests break out across the country, people are taking up sides. Nookazon, and the folks behind it, are sending a very clear message by banning the phrases in their Discord channels. It’s also worth noting that the phrases are banned in a major main Animal Crossing: New Horizons server as well.
There are plenty of ways to take this, but I’ll leave it up to you to feel how you’re going to feel about. All I can speak to is an immense personal disappointment.
