Two new games are coming to the Epic Games Store this week. Prepare yourselves.
Another week, another free deal on the Epic Games Store. Replacing AER: Memories of Old and Stranger Things 3: The Game will be Conan Exiles and Hue, which arrive as Epic’s next free deal starting on July 2.
Conan Exiles is a game that appeals to a unique set of tastes. To start, there’s an extremely comprehensive character creation system that allows the player to customize themselves in ways no other game allows, including sliders that will enhance the size of the player’s genitalia. Which, by the way, can be on full display if the player allows nudity in the game’s options.
After you’re done creating your prehistoric sex beast, you’ll be transported to the Exiled Lands where the fun never stops. A survival MMO with both PvP and PvE servers, you’ll have to fend off bandits and/or players, scrounge around for supplies, and manage your character’s health and stamina.
Once you’ve become a powerful warlord, you can use Conan Exiles’ innovative “thrall” mechanic to essentially enslave NPCs. Which seems problematic, but Conan Exiles is not a exactly game that prides itself on political correctness.
While the base Conan Exiles is free, its 12 DLC expansions are not. Keep that in mind.
Epic’s other free game is Hue, an award-winning indie puzzle platformer that uses color as its main mechanic. You play as a small boy who’s lab scientist mother has turned herself invisible and disappeared. It’s up to you to find her using a color palette that will cause obstacles to disappear provided you pick the right color.
Hue is far more family-friendly than Conal Exiles and also features a fantastic soundtrack. The gameplay is simple but challenging, especially when you get to the later parts of the game and have the full color wheel unlocked.
Both these games will be free on the Epic Games Store from July 2 to July 9. After that, we expect another pair of free games to appear in keeping with Epic’s stated mission of giving away games in perpetuity.
